BEMBRIDGE in a Mustang.
Dear All,
Anyone current on a CE510 tell we if this is legal and possible on Public Transport?
Bristol - Bembridge - Cologne - 2 pax.
Bembridge LDA is 750m, TORA/ASDA/TODA 799m
I'm pretty sure it's dodgy, but is scheduled to depart EGGD at 1200Z today.

I think one went to Goodwood recently on the grass. The raw figures just about work for a CJ so I suspect a Mustang can do Bembridge. The slope would be a bit of a pain if the wind was going the wrong way. I've taken our CJ into GanderKesee for maintence which is a little bit shorter and the figures work in and out with a bit of margin when its light. I don't know Bembridge but looking at the plates I can't see anything that would stop the CJ going in and out privately so a Mustang should do it.
I suppose its exactly what Cessna built it for. Private ops into smaller airports.

Phil,
I have the Cesnav CPCCALC, and assuming no wind, 15C, 1013, it will take off from 12 (privately) up to 8188lbs (MTOW is 8645) and will land (privately) at MLW 8000lbs - so I would say not a problem.

Nice one James, if you are not on it it doesn't matter? You don't think everyone in this industry has a responsibility, or are you alright Jack?
I was simply asking if anyone who flew this thing thought it was safe as it sounded risky to me and my team, and our CAA FOI and a Mustang Operator.
Your logic is that it should only be questioned by the crew and pax?

Sorry James I am with Phil
It is endemic in Corporate and Ga, that runway performance is not a problem for us.
I fly, as you might gather the top end of the GA fleet.
Our pax, (in general), turn up with so much baggage, extra pax, and an attitudude that it will be OK.
On the other side I also own a PA28, and go int IOW International.
Each flight is strictly monitored, in terms of RW performance.
Any post that points out the dangers of complacancy has my vote.
good night
