Crew doesn't need any Visa in any case, but if you have to enter the country, they will take your passport and give you crew cards instead, but for that you need arabic translation of your passport.

we did a trip on short notice and could not get in without a visa so we positioned to jerba overnight.
if its just a drop off no problem with visas but make sure you get a handling agent or you will be led from office to office paying fees in dollars and lots of crazy forms.
we used hadid who were crap as they didnt turn up for our first arrival hence the hassle. on our final departure they did show up and the transit was easy.
good luck

Came into Tripoli with a crew of 5 different nationalities this week and no visa issues - just a little pre-planning with a decent agent who doesn't charge the earth; the passports stay at the airport & you get to keep a plasticized receipt.

Correct, find Tripoli no problem and people very helpful. That is at Mitigi. International can be a hassle so always try and use Mitigi and get a good handler. The high cost of the handler can be offset against some of the cheapest fuel in the World

Been to Tripoli three times (2 x HLLT, 1 x HLLM), only for technical landings. Medavia and GulfPearl were handling agents; both were o.k. You stay beside the aircraft, everything is done there. Gulfpearl accepts payment by credit for the handling fees, Medavia had to be paid in cash, that's as far as I remember.

I paid Medavia on a credit card. You can get gas cheaper if you pay cash - both ways it's still cheap - around $ 2.02/USG on account with Gulf Pearl, $ 1.86/USG for cash.
