C56X salary in southern Europe

Hi everyone!

I have just been offered a job (Thanks God, I was beginning to lose the faith...) in southern Europe with a C56X operator.
But since I don't really have a clear idea of the cost of living and of salaries in general in that area, expecially as a pilot, I ask you.

As a FO, Including per diems and base salary, we are in the region of 2500 euros for 10 days of duty a month, 3000 for 15 days, and 3500 per 20, plus pension and LOL arranged by the company. No roster at all (who has one anyway in this business).

Is this in line with the current market of the area?
Is it worth it considering I have to relocate?

Thanks!

Yes, thats a good package!

Anyhow, if this is your first job, that is a superb package! As long as you have enough to live on, take the job and get a good summers experience on a brilliant machine.

I'm genuinely surprised you've not had this thread shot down in flames by wannabes who would accept that job and fly for free!!!! Maybe the market is picking up then?

Thank you for your opinions!

I admit I'm not very experienced (<1000 hours total) but this wouldn't be my first job in corporate\charter operations. I guess in this case being rated with some hours on type has definitely helped me.
As many of you I am not in the position to be picky given the current climate, but I just wanted to take my time to evaluate pro and cons of every offer.
The contract would be long term (3 yrs) renewable.
I think I'll take this one, hoping in an improvement of T&C in the next years (if ever...).

Any other opinion would be appreciated!

Bye

Hi 560_Flyer,

I worked for a few companies in Europe and my daily rate was 250 euros. I am in a similar situation, <1000hrs.

3 year contract at those rates beats a call centre/ office job.

Good luck.

Hi

Are you talking of before or after tax salary?

In the first case it really depends on the state, taxes can be as high as 40\45% in certain places...

Hi!

After tax.
I must say I am happy with my choice so far.
Lot of flights in June\July, but good flying and enough money at the end of the month to pay the bills and saving something.

I can only say thanks for the opportunity I have been given, considering many pilots way better than me are still looking for a job.
it seems something is changing, I hope better times are coming for all of us.

Cheers!
