Eh? Thought the G650 was developed already, i.e., flying?

From the article:

Gulfstream is developing clean sheet successors to its G450 and G550 large-cabin business jets, incorporating concepts and systems designed for its flagship G650, reports Flightglobal affiliate FlightBlogger.

Citing industry sources familiar with the new aircraft, FlightBlogger reports that that the smaller model, set to replace the G450, is currently in the engine selection phase for the first of the two aircraft.
This article isn't about the G650, it is about replacements for the 450 and 550.

The G650 is the replacement or step up from the G450 and G550... Think you are getting wires crossed a little..

Uberwang - you are not understanding the point.

The G650 is not the replacement for the G550/G450. The G650 is a brand new aircraft and is Gulfstream's new flagship aircraft.

The G450 replaced the old G4.

The G550 replaced the old G5.

Now Gulfstream are designing new replacements for the 450 and 550.

Simple!

Simple?? I do love it when grumpy people decide to write aggressive comments from hotel rooms because they are bored and need a power trip... Have just come from the factory and there is no news yet. Its all G650 over there right now. Hope you have a better day then you were having..

I was just trying to help you understand the point which you seem to have mistaken to be an agressive comment.

Just trying to be helpful and it gets thrown back at you.

The G650 is not a replacement for the G450 and G550. The G650 is an expansion of the Gulfstream model line.

The G550 did not replace the G450 -- the G550 is a larger, longer range, and more expensive aircraft. The same is true for the G650 -- it is a larger, longer range, and more expensive aircraft than the G550.

Sure you were Bizjet700, sure you were... And I think adding the comment "step up" kind of covers the expansion of the 450 550 point.. Will be interesting to see what the extras are. Just hope its all still the same rating

?? Not sure what Mapp is on about, he has shown himself as nothing more than a trouble maker.. For your info, my Father passed away in 2002 and I find it incredible that you would be so unprofessional as to chase me around. The word **** is nicely reserved for you.
