Austin pilot deliberately crashes into building

This is exactly what general aviation in the United States absolutely does not need right now:

Officials: Authorities are investigating Austin, Texas, plane crash as intentional act - Yahoo! Canada News

Unfortunately, the media is having a field day with it. Best to go out and fly a bit now … while you still can.

Not another excuse for the TSA

No doubt it won't be too long before this provokes the Homeland Security Bods into coming up with some half-baked plan for making aviation even more difficult than it already is.
Anybody else having fun with their AFSP clearance to train? Allegedly 1,700+ pilots currently delayed from doing their training because the system is so log-jammed....

a full water bottle was recovered from the wreckage, along with a nail file.

IF THE TSA WAS INVOLVED THIS DISASTER WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED!!

Agree that the clearance process isn't too bad. Around 3-4 weeks at the moment.

I see a "Knee Jerk" reaction by the FAA coming that states that all pilots will now be required to have a yearly Psych exam.
