Minsk - S-Air business jet reported lost

At least five dead in Belarus jet crash
Monday, October 26, 2009 - 10:19 PM

Emergency officials in Belarus say at least five people have been killed in the crash of a Russian business jet near Minsk tonight.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Emergency Services said there were three passengers and three crew members aboard the plane when it crashed into a region of swamp.

The fate of the sixth person reportedly on board was not immediately known.

The spokesman says the plane belonged to S-Air, a Moscow company that runs a fleet of luxury private jets.

We understand that the passenger on board was Marat Ramashkin who was the owner of S-Air who was travelling with his body-guards.

We used to deal with Marat many years ago, really nice chap it is a terrible shame.

Thoughts are with his family.

Could have been RA-02807, been given both via Russian source. The second one ties up with ASN website.

Flintstone, my apologies if I offended yourself or anyone else although I can't see how. The question was to establish which operator it may have been, so as to personally establish whether I may know the crew or not. perfectly valid I think.

My condolences to everyone involved!

Ahh I see what you mean...a question for the mods, has another post been merged because there weren't that number of posts when I asked that question, otherwise I wouldn't have asked it?

Thanks!

Two threads on this forum were merged. 2 hours after you asked your dumb@rse question. Please don't blame the mods; take it on the chin & move on. 4HP
