A rule of thumb is the person has have a net worth of at least five times the cost of the aircraft.

Unfortunate second line to Thriller:
"Under the moonlight, you see a sight that almost stops your heart."
Michael Jackson did not die of a heart attack. He was actually found in the kids bedroom having a stroke.

Thats the bedroom tidied.
They are also considering turning him into Lego, so the kids can play with him
Under the guidance of his plastic surgeon Michael Jackson will be recycled and turned into carrier bags.

How long do falcons live for anyway? When you get the new one in 2 years time, are you sure they won't fight with each other?
The frenchies also make a range of bizjets called Falcon's too, but they all begin with a big F!
Just noticed that this thread drifted onto a second page, which has nothing to do with falcons any more......sorry!
Also heard that Farrah reached heaven first, and St. P offered her one wish to make the world a better place, so she said " please keep the little children safe!"

Some sense
Thanks con-pilot,
So a new Falcon 7X being $50 mil, then the person in question could/should be worth around $250 mil (ish)
I don't see why it was a stupid question tbh.

Because you are speculating on something with no facts to go on.
It is impossible to say how wealthy someone is on the basis of a purchase.
Look at wacko Jacko as already mentioned, who would ever think his estate would be 500 million dollars in debt.

Actually
Thats such rubbish, if a person buys a car, or a house etc they need:
1) the capital to buy it,
2) the capital to run it.
Is it such a weird question to ask that if:
1) they have enough money to buy it then
2) how much money they "should" have to keep it!?
A sure indicator would be a new purchase due for delivery, so really i think most of the above comments are just a bit facetious when i was asking a fairly resonable question considering at the moment i'm not in the inustry.

By the way, when I bought my house I only needed a 5% deposit, but by your thinking because I bought something to a value of 'x', that would mean I was worth much more than I actually am.
How do you know that he has/will be buying his plane outright and not on the 'never-never' and just furnishing monthly payment?
Fine, you just carry on wondering how rich people are, if you enjoy that game so much I would hate to keep you from hours of entertainment.

But to get your mortgage you have to prove that you can continue to pay your mortgage payments, so have to show how much you are worth either in potential or net worth.

Wot no logic..............
[QUOTE][/So a new Falcon 7X being $50 mil, then the person in question could/should be worth around $250 mil (ish)QUOTE]
Awesome logic there Banewboi, because using your ready-reckoner, I'm worth around $4 mil (ish) as I am buying a $800,000 house! Divide by 10 and you have nailed my net worth pretty accurately, so I therefore deduce that your boss is worth around $25 mil (ish).
Does that help?

Is what is was basing this on, not my logic someone else's.
I don't see why it's weird or unusual to wonder how rich someone is if they can afford a jet that's worth $50 mil, the reason being is that i don't wanna go for a job with someone who's not worth anythin and therefore an unsecure move.
