Anyone going? Think it's going to be worth it?
Will be there on Wednesday for the day; hope to see some old acquaintances &, I'm sure, meet some new ones.

OKish show. Up to the usual standards, they didn't spill the exhibits into the next bit of hall 6 like last year and it certainly felt like there were less people there this year (attendance @ 11'000 has been released by the NBAA). Like the others say, nothing new, but people weren't being too glum either. Let's see whose been hamstering their orders for Le Bourget next month.

One day was good value - saw lots of old faces and caught up on some great rumours.
I wouldn't be too hopeful for announcements at Le Bourget Rabina - the folk at Gulfstream told me that they're not attending and they're not the only ones.

It's the second time in the 10 years I could recall that Gulfstream won't attend Le Bourget. That's not the way they will find the first G150/200/250/450/500 or 550 French client. It could be that Dassault and Bombardier will rule forever there... until?

Well.....
I was at EBACE this year all 3 days.
Despite EBACE and all the media trying to show the positive side saying that there has been almost the same number of exibitors and atendees and even more aircraft on static it was clear that we have a HUGE crisis in the market.
Not a single aircraft was signed at EBACE (some anounced but done few months before).
Many empty spaces, less people and what really shows the point for me is how slow everyone was walking around. Last year everyone was running from one place to an other. This year people just wondered around trying to figure out if there was anyone at EBACE trying to buy anything.
I spoke to a few operators with a stand and all said the same, everyone is selling but not a single potential client.
Some handling agents said that flights have gone down 40-50% at their airports.
By the way I love the Russian way to do things!! Those who came to EBACE will know what I am talking about.
That is about it. We will try to stay alive a few more weeks and see.

The silence and lack of orders was really deafening, thought there was something wrong with PRNewswire. Went there last year and the mood was fairly positive. Hope things turn around soon.

Right.
We'll have none of this 'nudge nudge, wink wink, we were there and you weren't' crap. the weakest link and Justin have two days to produce photos of this russian thingy or they're on the honey truck for a fortnight.

I've got some photographic evidence of the Russians, but I don't know how to upload it!! Mind you, they're kinda tame compared to what I saw them doing a little later
