Medium (long) haul flights. Advice needed.
Hello
This is my problem. I used to fly with a lear and so far i did european flights but also some flights to Africa, the middle east and russia. Now my boss decided to change me to a VLJ. So this means i have to do only the small european (boring) flights. And this i really regret because i really liked the medium haul flights because it was always a challenge and a bit of an adventure for me. Now i'm quit unhappy with my boss' decision and currently i'm looking for an operator who is doing these "outside europe flights". Now the problem is that these operators use bigger aircraft for these type of operations and i only have experience on a small lear. What are my changes to get in???
any advice is welcome

Better one in the hand than two in the tree...
My friend ~
I drive a Global 5000 for a nice guy. Long hauls, from telaviv to anywhere from all over europe all the way to russia, hong kong and mauritious.
But alas, times have changed and I would be thankful to simply reposition the bloody plane from one airport to the next.
So long as you're still holding onto a job that pays, keep it. Now is not the time to be searching for something. There are so many others that don't have a job that could any chance of one more than you and I.
Come the time and things change, no question that you would be better off with some heavier experience plus type if that is your sort of thing. It is a pretty nice deal.

Brie,
I know you're unhappy with this change in your working conditions, but to be typed onto another aircraft in this present climate can only really be seen as a blessing for your personal job security.
Take it on the chin and enjoy the new experience you are about to be exposed to...... any flying job is better than none....imagine how many of our recently unemployed colleagues are reading this?
Now really is not a good time to be changing jobs!

Ahh, the global in TLV, parked next to you many times, in various places, saw you a few weeks ago in LCA, usually the boss is boasting his aircraft to his friends, including ours, is the crisis clipping his wings at the moment then?
