Operating cost of light aircraft

Gentlemen,

my research didn't bring up too many answers so I'll try here:
I'm looking for operating cost of small aircraft ( SEP/MEP, maybe SE Turb.) based in eastern europe capable of carrying 4 passengers with reasonable intraeuropean range.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance

Air taxi work rather than for pleasure, right?

Hello!

Any advice?
If you read any german (since you state Germany as your location...), I would recommend this book: "Peter Bachmann: Ein- und zweimotorige Flugzeuge: Bilder, Daten, Kosten. Motorbuch Verlag".

It is quite up-to-date and a good starting point for getting an idea about the costs involved. For real-world purposes, multiply all figures by a safety factor however...

Greetings, Max

Hello!

Will buy the mentioned book.
Mail me your address and I will borrow you mine. It's the 2004 issue and maybe a little bit outdated, but the figures are already in Euro, and there are not so many new aircraft on the market in the category you are interested in.

Greetings, Max

Remember that there are limitations about single-engine commercial operations in various EU countries, including Germany.

Airworthiness and Engineering

For an Air-Taxi start-up, in addition to the aircraft operating costs you will need the cost of establishing your AOC, and all the ongoing costs associated with the maintenaqnce of that; Continued Airworthiness Management, maintenance and all the operational infrastructure for pilots. PM for more details.

EU OPS + associated regualtions are overkill for small air taxi business in most cases. You can opt for buying AOC coverage, that's what many small operators are doing, but in many cases that's not cheap either.
