Where to go with Jet

Hi there Guys

I have recently come into some money and have decided to hire a Jet for the family to go for a long weekend.

I can afford a hawker 800 model and was wondering if you could suggest where I should go , Departure point will be the UK. I would prefer to go where schedule does not go !!!

No fixed Time frame , can go this month or in the summer time .

Will stay for about 4 days

Thanks in advance

Mike

Hawker 800 doesn't take much luggage. XL takes more but won't go as far and takes a bit longer............you pays your money.............

bit vague dude....

How far do you want to go?
Do you want the Jet to stay there?
How comfortable do you want things to be?

800 is a good choice, British at it's best (if it's a 'B' model) and I'm a massive fan, however, give us more info...... (but watch out for the Brokers descending on you!!)

Guys

This is not for real

He has come into money well ??

You do not post threads on here to ask where you should go

Would suggest Australia in a Hawker 800 with a few stops on the way

Why a Hawker 800 why not a G5 for a nice long weekend to Paris

Sorry this is a Broker or somebody trying to see whos ot there

If you have that sort of money I would suggest 1st Class on B/A to New york Limo to the Waldorf Astoria and V/V

Have a Nice Trip

its for real

Hi everybody

Firstly this is for real, I am hiring a hawker 800 (deal done) and want to know where to go , I do not want to go where schedule airline will go , Jet will stay and wait for us. I do not want to go where the jet has to refuel on way , so I know max distance in H800 is 2.5Knm give or take !!

I want to take me and 4 friends for a nice weekend somewhere nice , its that simple no hidden agenda , no brokers , just got some money and going to blow it !!

So any suggestions???

Please dont take this as a sign of doubt in your generous plan but...

.... How did you hire an aircraft (deal done) without naming a destination?

Why are you so sceptic that this is not a realistic request?

In my early private flying days I had a lot of those offers to my close friends, something like "Hey I got to nail down some flying hours. Just choose a destination and we go there!"

Presumably it is a similar setup here. Okay, way more decadent but also on this level there are some flying owners who can afford this.

Now back to the topic:
How about St. Petersburg in Russia?

Haven't been there but heard that it's a magnificient city at the sea, especially in the summertime when it is relatively mild (around 20°) and the days almost never end in the so called "white nights". It is a city with an impressive history and a lot of cultural attractions.

Also I assume that there are a lot other biz jets stationed there, so your Hawker will have adequate company

Could try Sion - gives you access to some very nice Swiss resorts - Crans Montana, Zermatt, Verbier. Flight time would be just over an hour I guess and nowhere near you 2k5 nm limit - but it's a thought.

If your travelling companions are all male I would suggest Ukraine or Poland as "other than the norm" destinations. Both feature a superb selection of those from the female gender, and it will cost you pennies to wine, dine and feast yourselves on great food and whatever else may take your fancy.

Alternatively, I would suggest Siena in Italy. There is a small airport just out of town not often used by IFR traffic. It is in the heart of Tuscany, and is without doubt one of the most beautiful cities you will visit. The airport is named (don't trust the spelling) Campiguagino, but Florence is not too distant as alternative when visiting Siena.

Enjoy

Go to Samedan, Switzerland, book yourself and your mates into the Badrutt's palace, don't forget to have lunch at their Nobu restaurant, then off to the Cresta run for a decent rush of adrenaline.

St.Moritz is done in 2 days, so then fly on to Siena, and have wine and food tasting couple of days around there (try the poggio antico restaurant in Montalcino), then fly home...

Don't forget to invite me along for the ride

Head south for sun. There are some beautiful part of the south of Spain off the beaten track between Seville and Gibraltar. At this time of the year, the golfing is great.

Good time of year for some Winter fun too, again start by going south but stop somewhere about the Alps. Turin is a great place for that - only a few hours to Milan too.

Or for just some plain old good times, its only a short hop to Dublin or Belfast.

Enjoy the experience
