C550 Market

Hi everyone

I'm trying to get a feel of what is going on in the Citation II charter market in the UK and Europe.

How are the like 247, AD Aviation, Marshalls, LEA are doing? Anybody have an idea?

Thank you

2604,

I cant comment directly on how charter operators are doing with Aircraft such as the Citation II but as someone who is heavily involved in selling Aircraft we have seen many Citation II type operators wanting to dispose of these type of aircraft in favour of newer types as some of our clients have found that certain Charter Brokers and Clients are wishing to use newer more modern aircraft.

I'm sure you'll get some more feedback on your question before long !

Thank you.

I think this trend of getting newer type had been going on for a while. But with the slowdown I was thinking that operators might be thinking of flying older generation and perhaps cheaper(?) aircraft to remain competitive. And brokers and passengers alike might not be as pickie as they have been as long as it keeps the cost down.

I hear some companies are dusting off their old Citation I.

Strange times I must admit but its amazing how many operators are wanting to dispose of older generation Jets.

We are currently selling a Citation 500 and a V here in the UK and trying to get buyers for them are not easy. One of the main problems with off loading these older beasts are the lack of buyers for them even going back 12 months when the market was better.

Generally if you look at the market for the older types each market is saturated.

The Citation 500 which we have is available around the $700K area but most buyers whilst they agree this is cheap are reluctant to buy and also operate these aircraft.

This is simply general with everything of that vintage from things like the Citation 500 right through to larger Hawkers and Challengers and down into the Turboprop sector.

These are hard times and i'm sure everyone is looking out wondering where that light at the end of the tunnel is !!!

Its got to be out there somewhere !!!
