Handling Agent in St Johns CYYT

Can anyone recommend a good handler at St Johns for a quick tech stop?
I trust the customs guys there are as efficient, and nice as Goose (6pax)?
Thanks, and a Happy New Year to all.
Jez

Canpass?

Many thanks for the "heads up" BW Much appreciated), but doesn't CANPASS only apply to US to Canada flights?
We are UK to Canada, and then on to Grand Bahama (and return by the same route).

I've had to call CANPASS UK-US when using St. Johns for refuelling, so I would imagine it would also apply when going on to Grand Bahama. If it does, just give them a call an hour or 2 out using the satphone (if you have one, or before take-off if not) with all pax names, passport no.s and an updated eta in local time. St Johns is 2 & 1/2 hours behind GMT in the summer, probably 1 & 1/2 at this time of year. When you land call them again from the handling agents to confirm the details.

The number is +1 888 226 7277

You also need to get a form to be faxed to them with all the details. Calling the above number I guess would be a good starting point to get hold of the form.

Have a good flight

Canpass

Hi Jez,

You DO need to submit CANPASS details even for a techstop - been through there a few times recently en-route Caribbean and return (Need to do it both ways). If you don't want to upset them too much let them know if your ETA changes by more than 30 mins. Easy enough to do it the day before as long as you have all the info and then just a quick ammend all if reqd on the day - usually they will only accept the call from the Captain. Number is +18882267277 (toll free in USA from landline) Dont forget to get your "Clearance number" from them when you call on arrival - the lovely Cathy will need it and it is worth holding onto with your paperwork after "just in case" (never needed it after the event yet though!!).

Cheers and have fun SF

No the form 178 is from the US Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, not CANPASS.

Sorry but the form I have a copy of does not have a reference number on it.

Suggest you check out the CANPASS website for your exact requirements. There is a lot of info in there.
