duty days.

Question for all you guys in the bizjet world.

e.g you have a 14/14 roster. Do you spend all of your duty days away from home?? Can you maintain a balanced family lifestyle if you work with this kind of schedule??

Happy landings

All depends who you work for to work out how many duty days you are away for!

NJE have you fly to an aircraft and generally stay with it until your duty period finishes and then fly home.

Most operators you end up being at home waiting for a call. Inconvenient sometimes.....if you need to go out for any prolonged period some will take their uniform and bags just in case. Also means that pub lunches have to be alcohol free!

My company ask you to be contactable on duty days from 7am till 7pm. The first pint is therefore normally finished by 7.10pm

Off days are off. With my company you can volunteer to be available if you wish, and if you get a job, its at double time
Otherwise you just enjoy your free time!
