Oh hell, 'just realised. Positioning is not duty in NJE! That means after that looooong flight they expect me to strap the co. a/c to my ass and go flying.
Oh Hell, if you have access to the new Chapter 7 then read and edit. If not then . . .

Positionning from Brisbane will leave you with 12 hours of duty in 2 days...

This is why Brisbane is not a Gateway, (I think)

Errr it was a joke...

I meant Sydney.

Any way, let's say you're on the G5. Expected crew swap is in Hong Kong. Not so silly now...

SYD

Hi there Redsnail, you can have the jet out of
HKG, then I will spend some time in Wan Chai and LKF. After your tour you can drop it again in Honkers and I'll fly it back to Europe. Sounds good to me!

This all in about 10 years when its my turn to fly that kind of jet ofcourse

Greetz,

N.

Alternatively you can read subchapter Q of EU-OPS, the only difference being that the minimum rest is 11 hours for us instead of 10 hours.

Nope, I wont. I somewhat thought you had a clue before making a statement the way you did.

Anyway, back to topic. LHR is the only gateway where the company supports gateway parking, so my sympathy goes to the colleques which are left behind in the cold from one day to the other.

However, as well to all the other ones who struggle without support in all other gateways.

I certainly don't find myself struggling at all with regards Parking at my gateway. However, I don't find it unreasonable that those based at EGLL got special help from the company. The BAA insisted on a request from the company before they would do anything with respect to staff parking. Mind you shame what happened subsequently.

I'm sure if other people had a similar problem that the company would try and help.

The company do offer help. It's just that (in our case) AMS require an office with a mailing address at the airport to offer staff parking. It's just not practical. There are several other places with better deals and afaik NJE have never declined assistance or centralised billing.

I'd love to get Aruba, Trukk or Wake Island as gateway - even if it were just for the ease of parking...

Forgive me if I have got this wrong.

Somebody here expects a European short-haul biz jet operator to fly them from Australia to Europe to operate their 6 days on and have a 'rest-buffer' either side of their duty period?

Shouldn't said pilot move to Europe? And turn up to work, fit for work without whinging about the cycle ride? Do be brief.
