The deadline for implementation of Part M is still going to be 28th September 2008.

'The CAA will, however, take advantage of the opportunity presented by the proposed regulatory change to offer relief to those yet to complete the approval process by using an exemption to defer full implementation of Part-M for non-commercial air transport until 5 January 2009.' (exerpt from CAA Doc)
will allow for a small transition period,
all Aircraft that can have already buggered off to the Isle of Man register,
the rest will be on an AOC so will have a CAMO organisation anyway.
Did I miss something?

Since Part M was published 5 years ago, the difference to JAA regulations for commercial operators is marginal (except Subpart I), the transition period was long enough to implement all the requirements
