G5 has dual channel AT and dual autopilot, CAT2 operation is possible.

More interestingly, EASA is working on certifying an approach continuation procedure to 100ft on CAT1 ILS approaches based on clues from the FLIR installed in newer Gulfstreams. No idea when it's coming, but that should mark a significant operational advantage, as we bizjockeys tend to operate to airports lacking CATII/III equipment...

Somebody told me that in the US, this procedure is already in place for part 91 ops, but haven't verified... anybody?

FAA approved 100ft DH on Cat I ILS operations for Part 91 since 2004.

See Part 91.175 and RIN 2120-AH78 below :

All G-Vs had, as an option, the enhanced vision system (EVS).
Trained pilots fly to 50 ft AGL IF (REPEAT) IF they get the lights on EVS/HUD.
The G-550 has EVS as standard equipment.
gulfstream now flying a Synthetic vision system which is going to be really cool.

The GV series autothrottle is approved for use to touchdown. As far as I'm aware the only restrictions on it are that it cannot be used for single engined approaches or single engined go-arounds.
