Recurrent Training - Visa Question

It's that time again, and I'm due to visit US for recurrent training. I have never before bothered to get a Student Visa, but was recently told by someone that I should.

Is this really the case?

Nope you don't need one, no advantage, visa waiver is all you need with GB passport

Ask the school where you are going if a visa is required. Dont take the answer from Pprune.

you don't need a visa same as for the TSA if you already did an initial in the usa.
Went for my recurrent in january with only my valid passport...

Hi Mutt,

The trng establishment should forward all data on non US citizen trainees to the authorities at the time of booking/sim slot confirmation. Though accept yr statement, 'tis a CYA situ after all.

Have just come back from recurrent. I have a B1 or something which is basically your usual business/tourist visa (same as a visa waiver really). Never had to get a student visa for initial or recurrent.

Thanks all for the clarification. I have made a note of your names and will quote them if there's any drama at the border!
