Hi 101
As it seems the problem is not gross salary, the key is where you are you living...taxes in Austria are very very high, around 40,35%. In other european countries taxes are around 22%, 18% it depends if you are married whit kids or not...therefore whit a gross salary of 40K 45k you can get at the end of the month around 2500euros netos per month x14 payments.
Anyway if you are living in Austria it's a very low salary

Request Vistajet Interview & Info
Moorning,
have you some information about the interview with the FOPH ? (pilot position)
Are the pilots based in Salzburg or where the aircrafts are ?
Have you an idea of the last salary offered ?
Sorry for the questions but...time is coming !

VistaJet management has been struggling for ways to be profitable during these dark days in the industry, thus they have come up with a special strategic way to generate more revenue. They concluded that the best way to generate income is to stop spending it in terms of salaries. Therefore, they have introduced the work for free program. This way they do not have to pay for their pilots and FAs to work. They understood that this is quickly becoming the new norm because of the surplus of qualified applicants and there is no longer anymore need to pay its employees.

Is Vistajet the CIA company or wathever you have in Austria? It seem that it is impossible to have info on that company!!! I just want to know if it is worth it before driving 2000km to SZG and back. So if someone has real info to give, please give them!

Alojisa: C'mon, I'm joking. Do a search on VistaJet in these forums. 99.9 percent of the info you require is there. I realize that you are after a FA job, but if Vista is not paying their pilots well and keeping them on the road, do you think they are paying the FA loads of cash and giving them excellent schedules?

Alojsia
Even though i should be terribly offended by this boards suggestion that VistaJet has introduced the work for free program, I feel a bit upset that i didnt think about it first, then i could have got some serious brownie points with accounts!!!!!! (lpokijuhyt-much respect, the funniest post i have seen in ages)
Seriousley Alojsia, the best thing to do to make sure that you havnt had a wasted journey is either to search the posts here as suggested, or give the guys in the office a call and speak to HR directly. They should be able to give you the basics and enough for you to decide to make the journey or not.
As others have said, we are making significant efforts to stay profitable, as this is our method to staying alive, so it definitely isn't BA (and striking is definitely not allowed!!), BUT (hold the moaning!!!) all the staff are working their preverbial nuts off to make it work.
Its vibrant, its fresh and it's hard work.......so the party on friday is most welcome..
