Running costs J31 Vs B1900

Hot and high is not very good in the JS31..
Also the area where the baggage goes into in a JS is also a bit a problem for loading pax and bags at the same time, whereby a B1900 you can load both at the same time. Makes for a good quick turnaround.
A pod on the J31 will probably be needed if your punters have American or Japanese sized bags...
The 1900 is slightly quicker that the JS31 and will climb to altitude faster..
For a short strip, a full load of punters and bags, hot and high, a B1900 will $hit all over a JS31..
But you pay for the B1900 in acqusition and running costs..
From memory.. the JS31/32 works out at about roughly $1400 US per hour and the B1900 works out at about $2000 USD per hour.. thats full retail charter rates.. and I'm out in the middle of the Pacific so the rates are a little skewed out here as compared to some where like Europe or the US.
From memory.. you might be able to get a JS31 for a few million as wheres a B1900 I believe is around the 10-15 million mark...
The JS31/32 though are great for short communter trips to airports with plenty of length... The most you want to spend in one would probably be about an hour..
If you do your sums right, and stick to those sort of sectors, you should have a pretty good shot at holding your own against a B1900 operator on the same route... once you work out acqusition and running costs...
