...and is there any truth in the rumour about 'dumping' all the Bravos, whatever that might mean?! I can see that pax much prefer an aircraft they can at least pretend to stand up in, but can NJE really be planning to reduce capacity that much?

As for sending back the 400 to the States when the 4000 arrives. Well maybe such is the timining but two things here. A 4000 is a lot more expensive than a 400 so it won't replace them (if it is what you suggested).
Also according to rumour number one, if NJE was to get rid of Bravos and 400s, NJE will have nothing to cater for a customer who doesn't need to spend 11 Million USD on a plane. They would also have to say goodbye to existing Bravo/400 customers etc... I doubt they will.

Out of curiosity how reliable are the 400's these days? Seven fuel tanks and a wiring loom made in Mexico. Glad I never had that lot to contend with.

How reliable? Down to the point I would not fly my own family onboard!!! The maintenance is absolutely useless and the aircraft is crap. The sooner they get rid of that sh...the better it is!

Maintenance is very good through Augsberg, reliability was as good as the Hawker 800. I would fly my family on them, no worries.
The biggest problem on the 400 is the fuel system from A to Z. I didn't have too many problems with the electrical system. It is an ENTRY LEVEL BUSINESS JET and is basic and pretty cheap. I would rather fly a 400 over a Citation any day and most of the passengers are so much happier to be 'on the Beach'.

I would presume that if Netjets Europe were to dispose of any aircraft, it would be the 3 Falcon 900's & the single 900EX

Cpt crashs (interesting name by the way to provide input on safety!). Netjets maintenance is bad because they do not leave time to the maintenance base to correctly fix the problems. As a matter of fact, all entries in the techlogs are written in Augsberg (but try Augsburg, works better) where we cannot fly neither in nor out according to Jar!!! or in Chester (may be 1 flight for the whole company in the last 10years apart from maintenance)
Fly your inlaws if you like...I am sure they will appreciate.

your right smeagel, but unfortunately a common thing in General aviation and STANDARD in Netjets.
If the Flight inspectors of several DCA,s would look into the techlogs of Netjets, they will find out that STRANGELY ENOUGH, all techlog items filled in either coincides with the day, the aircraft goes into maintenance and STRANGELY CONVIENENT ENOUGH, it coincides with the 6st =last day of the crew s tour.
Those crew must be very unlucky to have all these things break down on their last day of tour, but luckily enough there was a maintenance close by, allready, strangely enough pre booked a few days before....
Not to forget that the guy orchestrating all this is called a fleetmanager, but crew do not argue because when you mess with them, no promotion, or tea and biscuits.
someone mentioned not flying on a 400, few disagree with that, hearing it from the crews, but better not fly Netjets, due to lack of safety minded people and a non existent safety culture.....

I never had problems going into Augsburg in the dry (difficult in the wet). And I never cheated nor was I asked to do something illegal. Maybe they knew I would tell them to shove it if they did!
I never carried snags except on a MEL. My licence was too hard to come by to loose doing something illegal for Netjets. They would never support you if there was a ramp check and you got busted; they would wash their and let you hang.

Of course, Augsburg is GA only! You capt Crash are very lucky. Never had a bulb, not MELable never have intermittent thing not working nor landing gear pb nor hydraulic nor.... You must be the only one then!
