Question Conversion to CAA private

I'm a British student in the US, doing the FAA PPL, and need to know how to convert it too a CAA PPL later this year. I've tried looking at the CAA website, but realised that by the time I found what I was looking for we would all be to preoccupied with the Y3K bug!

Any help is appreciated

As follows, I think!:
1. JAA Class Two Medical.
2. Sit JAA Ground Exams, maybe just Air Law
3. Enough dual trng to satisfy instructor
4. JAA Skill Test

Er... That's it.

Cheap at half the price!!

You might want to investigate how you can convert to another JAA state licence, which might be cheaper...?

I didn't think other JAA countries had anything like GOOD beer!

Oh, I also missed off:

5. Pay the CAA loads of wonga...

Enjoy it though - especially when the sun's out!

Cool

Kegbuster,

Obviously my use of Queen rather than thug or Yob didn't deceive anyone. I went solo last week, but unfortunatly I'm not legally old enough to buy beer in this country Only a few more months before I return to the world of decent ale and associated hangovers

Please respect my new found refined and sophisticated image, Gone are the days of the Yob (at least untill I return)!

Happy hangovers for now!

Do you specifically want a JAR PPL? You know that you can fly in the UK on an FAA PPL?

Question

WX,
Basically I wish to fly in the UK, as hassle-free as possible, and I hope maybe to go on and find someone to pay for a commercial (?) I don't really know much about licensing in the UK, so any info is helpful.

Happy hangovers!
