F1 Jets!

I was at Biggin over the weekend and discovered Bernie Ecclestone owns an RJ100?(4 little engines, anhedral wing, appx 80-100 pax) So i got to thinking "Who has the fastest and most luxurious jet in the F1 or any other world?" Any one know what Ferrari or Mclaren top brass fly around in? And are they stock models, or do they have go faster goodies?

He has two, the other one is Silver, oh and they are 146's. He also has two lear's and either one or two Facon 900's. Ferrari have a Piaggio as the a/c manafacturer is owned by Fiat. Flavio did have a Challenger based at Farnborough, hope this helps.

Eddie Irvine has or leases a PC12 as far as I know, N234RG. Not sure where he's making his money from these days.

He make's his money from property now, but he's still worth around £125m so you would think he'd have something better than a PC-12.

why the clean out of this thread? surely linking [IMG] code to a relevant website is not against the rules?

Not sure what you're on about - I've made no input to this thread and certainly, as long as it is relevant, there's no problem linking an image into a post. PM me if you have a problem. 4HP

Do these boys have a company call sign? Like Schumacher 1 or Mclaren !?? I also heard that some of them, David Coulthard for example, use net jets! Do they give good tips?

Ecclestone has "Formula" as his callsign. The 146, and the Falcon usually fly therefore as "Formula One"

The PC12 is not Eddie's as far as I'm aware, unless he owns a civil engineering firm these days.

I believe that Barrichello uses NetJets but I am certain that the crash that Coulthard walked out of with minor bruises a few years ago was a charter and was definitely not NJE.

Barrichello, has his own legacy, at least did last year during the canadian grand-prix. (we were parked next to it).

Most of the people used to charter, not sure how netjets changed that in the previous years.

M Schumacher indeed has his F2000EX.... HB-JEG I just a.net'ed out. The paint is quite inspirated by his profession I'd say.

I heard it was a dodgy charter, no AOC. Any truth to that?

As for the original question, "Who has the fastest and most luxurious jet in the F1 or any other world?", how about Abramovich? When I went to the Carling Cup final I had more passengers in my Navajo than they did in his 767!

...now that you mention it, probably true... I am not sure whether he owns them actually or just uses them exclusively though.

He used to have a BBJ, but I think he replaced it with the B767 and the Falcon 900.
His B767 was at my local airport (INN) just two days ago and re. passengers, I was told by a dispatcher that there's a security crew onboard nonstop....24hrs 7days a week. Lovely job I guess, being on duty in a shut down aircraft during a nightstop somewhere for 10-12hrs

How fast does a 767 cruise? I thought the higher flying lears and such like, were a bit quicker?

767 around .80 or up to .84 depending on how much respect you have for the environment.

Not sure about the smaller biz jet types, higher and a bit faster, and know the Citation X is the fastest cruising around .90

spanishflea,
I'm probably wrong then. I had been told by a few it was used by Irvine, it seems to be a regular to/from Islay and Farnborough from BHD.

Barrichello

Hi all,
Rubens Barrichello uses his own Embraer Legacy. The colors on the Legacy are the same as on his helmet..
Mr. Coulthardt has been seen also in a Legacy (2005). Not sure whether he is still using it.
Cheers
