What type of "current" bizjet would you like to fly?
I agree, this forum has become a bit sedate lately...
I'll throw out a question:
What type of bizjet (currently flying and available like a GV, Lear 45, Citation X, etc.) would you like to fly if you had the opportunity and why?
. .Of course, your preference could be a turboprop like a King Air...
My choice would be the new GAlAXY aircraft - now known as the Gulfstream 200. It's a funky-looking airplane. I caught one on my six a few days ago and I was stunned by its unusual look...

LAVDUMPER,. .gimme a KingAir with APU andŽIŽll fly it forever.. .With no APU available on the best aeroplane ever built (B200), IŽd like to have a Hawker :. .I can stand straight in the cabin, the cockpit seats would suit perfect(I tried it!) no longrange flying involved (at least not regurlarly), it can fly into relatively small airfields and looks good !

Id love to get my hands on any sort of business jet... but if it were up to me, I'd go for something like a G4... know a couple of guys that fly them and love it. The G5 can only be better so maybe that even. . .I can't really tell you why I'd want to fly one because I know next to nothing about them but they sure are a fine looking machine and the idea of not being on an airline schedule flying the same routes day in and day out appeals greatly <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

In addition to the GALAXY (Gulfstream 200), the Falcon 2000 has always impressed me. I had an opportunity to sit in one a few weeks back and the cockpit was great! Nice and wide, full EFIS with a pop-down HUD - and it was sleek.
I know some people who fly Falcon 2000s for Netjets and love them. They get to fly a nice, fast and advanced "widebody" corporate jet with a flight attendent all around the world - no regular schedule. And many have the BBJ to look forward to at Netjets. Not a bad deal in my book..........
Other opinions out there? What would you LOVE to fly if you could (current bizjet) and why?

Hey Shanwick,. .youŽll hate the CJ when its coldsoaked after a, say , 3 days stay at Moscow (-20°C), no preheating available, no APU, or a stay in Spain during summer on an airfield without GPU and you sweat like a spring Žcause of the x-large windows they build in.... .And you could fly 3,5 hours as well, but without a toilet.

Have you people seen the new CJ1 or CJ2 (longer-version of CJ1)? Nice airplanes. Brand new EFIS layout - quite advanced for "smaller" jets.
I agree with Shanwick, flying a CJ2 around Europe wouldn't be too bad at all - nice, enjoyable short hops in an advanced jet...
Who else? What other types of bizjets would YOU like to fly and WHY?

I have to say that the GV is a great aircraft to fly, operate and manage, the GV-SP will be real state of the art. I've been on one since 97, previously on a GIV which compared to the GV is a bit of a dog. . .The GLEX is a good aircraft but still has a few problems with the wing. The BBJ and A319 are much again good aircraft but a little imposing and restrictive in operation. The SSBJ is the way forward - T1 should be in the skies by 2008

ADS, what's wrong with the GLEX wing?
Yes, the G-IVSP is a great jet, the G-V a larger variation on a theme and competition never hurt anyone, just fly safe everyone.

The GLEX wing has many design flaws. I spent many months involved in the CFD process and we just couldn't iron them out, still can't!. .Remember that the concept of the swept wing is based on geometry and then look at the wing in plan form, from the spar forward.

Did anyone read about the Piaggio aircraft in Pilot last month? Piaggio Avanti I think it was called - Really beautiful alternative to the King Air. Would like to fly one of them <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Hey Guys and Gals. .Ive been lucky, very lucky Falcon 2000, CJ,Ultra,lear 60. Falcon 2000 is a gentlemans plane simply wonderful, CJ great fun,The Ultra is good and solid and works as advertised, Lear 60 is dazzling up to FL410 then it stops and the winglets cause aerodynamic rumble above mach .78.. .BUT you aint seen NOTHING like the Mighty LEAR 31A. .at FL 510 yes FL510 you can take out the autopilot AND yaw damper and it still flys like its on rails, it gets there in no time and is just a dream to handle. Yes its not very big and has no room anywhere, but to fly it is WONDERFUL. <img src="cool.gif" border="0"> <img src="cool.gif" border="0">

Watched a Global Express roll past me a few days ago - WOW! Looks like a very stable and comfortable aircraft from a pilot's standpoint. Anyone out there fly Global Expresses? Looks like a smooth ride..............................
I'd also love to take a ride in a Lear 45 - looks razor sharp and fun to fly - nice flightdeck too.
