Just wondering - is there much call for twin piston air taxi iservices in the UK?

Any idea how much charter companies charge per hour for this sort of thing?

Just wondering what a typical salary would be for the driver of a Seneca or similar, and how much the operator would make for what I expect would be something akin to a pittance...

Oh, and many apologies if I've put this in the wrong forum - if you hadn't guessed I'm a wannabe but am hoping to find some sense in here rather than in the wannabes forums, which can get a little jet-heavy at times.

Trans Euro Air in Southend. Senecas and Navajo.

The pilots can earn more than starting turboprop FOs or FOs in many GA jet operations. Operators can actually make an operating profit, which is more than can be said for many larger operators.

There are two companies based at Luton that might be able to help -

Pen-Avia - Citation X
Wings Worldwide Charter - Gulfstream IV

Hangar 8

Hangar 8 has a very good reputation and everyone that works there are very happy. Good roster, lovely aircraft (nearly all new) good pay and a great atmosphere.

Has approx:
5 x C525/A
5 x HS125
1 x CL601

Still growing and naturally still learning but got a very strong footing.

Hope that helps,

FBP

You see what happens on here!!!! One person makes a sweeping statement about a company and the vultures are swooping!!

I have personally met both the chief pilot and the deputy chief pilot as well as a fleet manager with H8. Very professional and all around good outfit. The aircraft that I saw were in pristine condition and having spoken to people who have used their services, the general opinion is that they are a solid and very reputable company.
