Single Engine A/C for Charter Work
Just wondering if anyone knows the regulations for charter work with a single engine aircraft or even if it is allowed in the UK?
Someone like the Pilatus PC-12 or TBM 700/850, Piper Meridien. (All turboprop)

Hey,
I believe that in the UK single engine aircraft are restricted to day VFR only. There has however, been some debate within the CAA about allowing SE IFR for public transport; the time scale for approval I don't know.
The UK remain somewhat behind North America in this respect. I do believe the Swiss CAA allow SE IFR on the types you mentioned.

It's my understanding that singles can only currently operate ferry flights after sunset in the UK and Germany (amongst other EU countries). I believe that operators of some a/c type, such as Cessna Caravans, operating a single gas-turbine feel that they should be considered separately on account of the excellent engine safety record.
It has to be daylight VFR conditions for any kind of revenue flight.
