Ben Buckley - Aussie legend

Hey all,

Do any of you know about the book written about Ben Buckley?

The following post about the Mt Hotham accident has started talking about Ben and some one posted the front page of his book!

Cheers,

PTSP!

Gosh, I remember him in Sudan, late '70's. Thought he was old then and used to make a lot of noise. Is he still around?

Ahh, you mean Ben "I think its a good idea to fly the Tasman in a Lightwing using 20 litre chemical drum Tokyo Tanks that expand at altitude almost overcome by fumes" Buckley?

Is that Ben "hello the alternator in this machine is not good enough to run the radio and GPS at the same time therefore I can navigate or communicate but not both" Buckley?

Or am I thinking of somebody else?

Anyone got any goss? Or should I just make some up?

I know exactly who you are talking about!

Poor bugger, he got himself into some serious s!*t with his wife too.

If everyone knew about this he would be the laughing stock of the industry

Wunderful werk

Yeah great job Currawong, flying in 2 K viz, cockpit leaking, window fogging up, loader getting bogged off the side of the strip, that's if you use a loader otherwise those bloody belt heaps of crap slipping and taking 5 minutes to load 1100 kilo's.
Isn't work out west wonderful?
