Today they have annouced that Signature have taken over Execair.
Is this a good move and what will it mean for the staff and customers?

If they operate anything like they do in the United Sates you best be prepared for increasingly poorer service and a nice rise in fuel prices.

I avoid Signature operations as much as I can. However that is very hard to do as they concentrate on airports that only have one FBO or handler allowed.

I must admit that the last time I was at Luton we did have Signature handle us and we received great service at a reasonable cost, but, that was over a year ago.
