Question Biz jet to big jet?

This rather reverses a thread elsewhere in this forum, in that I would like to know what the current opinion is of biz jet experience from the big aeroplane operators (charter, schedule or freight)? Are they taken seriously, or are they viewed as turbo-prop hours seem to be at present, ie dimly?

I am trying to move from turbo-props to jets, and the most likely route is to biz jets, but is that going to take me down a career path that would be difficult to change to a big jet career at some point in the future? I appreciate comments that have already been made, that many of you have made the move the other way and are very satisfied with it. I am interested in the potential to move the other way.

There seems to be a glass ceiling developing, in the UK at least, against trubo-prop pilots that is keeping us from moving our careers forward (refer to "Is CTC the way forward?" in R&N) for a bit more background to that discussion.
