An old photograph from the Vicinity. (Really should be on 'Name the Flying Machine' Thread).

current temperatures around zero suggest US East Coast north of say DC

the flat terrain and absence of rocks suggests we are south of Maine or even Salem.

Sun angle is quite high apparently so probably to the south of that range.

Wallops island looks possible - the strip south of Pad 0-B on teh actual island - NOT WAL the 3 runway flight facility................

Derelict White Alice Comms St Lawrence Island.

Present Weather at Airport - 4C Light Snow.

Do not look on The Eastern Seaboard.

I'm off to the Doctor. If needed I will post what will hopefully be the final clue when I return.

Caribean in the aftermath of a hurricane but don't know which island.

Asturias56 22nd Nov 2022 16:04

"In September and October 2017, A400Ms from France, Germany and the UK participated in the disaster relief operations following Hurricane Irma in the Caribbean, delivering a Pumahelicopter, food, water and other aid supply, and evacuating stranded people."

the French one went to Martinique Fort-de France, the Luftwaffe went to St Martin and Curacao I think and the RAF went to Barbados
