Neither of those two, but you've found the correct island. Try "Up Island" from Victoria. :)

Correct, Nanaimo Harbour Water Aerodrome (ZNA / CAC8). I was strolling round the harbour when I captured those pictures. My kind of harbour! :)

Thank you:O

the challenge looks like somewhere warm - also driving on the right side of the road.
Smoggy - could be Indonesia or the Sub-continent Lots of turboporps almost certainly for domestic |
You're on the right lines...
|
Thinking about it it can't be Indonesia or the Subcontinent as they drive on the correct side of the road. (well, it's variable in Indonesia I agree) so perhaps China?
|
Getting closer...They used to drive on the left here but a fortune teller persuaded the then leader to change:rolleyes: And yes, driving on the right is a flexible arrangement...:uhoh:
|
Ahhhh -that makes it easy - Yangon/Rangoon I think?
|
Asturias56 You are correct once again! RGN/VYYY has been modernised in recent years on both sides of the runway with new terminals and long term parking aprons on the west side...which have proved useful since Covid and the other problems forced a downturn in business.
However no crates of Spitfires were found during the renovations:rolleyes: |
I shall wait until nightfall to post a new challenge.........................
|
|
Well we have to start somewhere…
Big enough for 737s, interesting lack of apron markings, looks like high ground to the north and possibly east-west runway with a tower and hangar to the NW. Mediterranean? |
Wild stab in the dark: Grenoble-Alpes Isere(St. Geoirs)....It's as good as any guess and there aren't many clues there:}
