Dak out of Nice
While reposing on the beach in Antibes, heard the familiar sound of a pair of radials. Looked up to see a (apparently) metallic Dak, climbing out of Nice, 22L and heading SW.
Did not appear to be in any shade of military colour, is the FAF flying any? IG |
Probably one of the aircraft that came across for Daks Over Normandy doing a bit of site-seeing.
About what time, see if we can find it on FR24... |
Probably looking for `fried-eggs` and `beaver` on the beaches...
|
I looked at FR24, everything else was painting but not this aircraft.
Time would have been roughly 11.00 AM IG |
No nothing on Planefinder either. Not enough enthusiasts in southern France! I gather from Flypast that N18121 is in France still - the high-time former N136PB which appears to be silver, so a possibility. The other one mentioned seems to have flown from Germany to Duxford yesterday.

Speculating ......Chalair's F-AZOX is predominently silver/ unpolished metal, so it may be an option too
