Nostalgia... DC3
Like many, I have a hankering for the old birds including aircraft. Just completed the first of a series of twelve DC3s. Hope to add Connies and maybe even a few three holers later on.

Onya Rob! Poor old Eenie Weenie never seems to get included in many DC-3 images.
I love Goonies because I have three thousand hours on the old girls, my old man flew them for more thousands of hours than I did and my wife and daughter have been 'hosties' in them. If it wasn't for the morons in CASA who never really made it, but having been somehere on the peripheral of DC-3 operations at some time in the past so have been allocated the tag 'DC-3 type specialist' we'd be thrilled to hear the sounds of the 1830s mumbling through the air still. |
I used to commute on East West so the line holds a special place. I've never been on a 3 but I just love the look of them... Connies too. Right now I've got a TAA DC3 nearing completion, a Qantas DC3 about 1/3 through and I'm just pencilling up an Air Nostalgia 3 before taking on the Melbourne Gooney Bird.

That looks great Robby, you can almost hear those radjewels howlin. The Connie sounds interesting, could you put one of those up?
|
Fantastic!! I'm also interested in the Connie, are you going to post this on the Australian threads?
The East-West DC3 should be a lot of interest to some there. |
Do you have anymore of the DC3 as well Robby?
|
Nice work RobbyK! :D
|
Thank you very much.
The connie and other DC3s are still works in progress. I'll put 'em up when they're finished. Cheers Rob |
