Could you try to make it a bit smaller?!
Maybe a Griffon engined aircraft with folding wings. Seafang? |
66% right but not a Seafang
|
Seafire Mk.47?
|
|
Mk.46 then? ;)
|
Not a Seafire or Seafang
If I show any more it will give it away |
The only other Griffon-powered contra-rotating prop plane I can think of at the moment is the Martin Baker MB5, but that doesn't have folding wings.
Did some marks of Firefly have contra-rotating props? |
Supermarine Seagull?
|
Posting from an iPad.
PC being repaired. No images to post - Open House if the Seagull. Cheers. |
Got to concur with Noyade; Seagull in a reversesd image

Yes ... Seagull it is.
Rather sneaky crop. Noyade in control |
No images to post - Open House if the Seagull. Cheers. http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...Chall15Mar.jpg |

Supermarine Seagull?
|
Damn... my efforts to confuse failed.
Same name as my last challenge! http://www.aviastar.org/pictures/eng...seagull1_1.jpg Well done .. YHC |

Sunday afternoon, Australian GP finished on TV, had to find something useful to do.
The picture just had that derelict Russian feel about it. It was the foliage in the bottom right hand corner gave it away. Double whammy... http://i1024.photobucket.com/albums/...psfc016c52.jpg http://i1024.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8c83079f.jpg |
top one is a Westland Pterodactyl isn't it?
T'other is a - er - er. |
Sorry, not Pterodactyl
There is a connection between the two |
Bottom one looks like a Lake Renegade or some variant thereof?
|
Curtiss seamew
Lake buccaneer? |
Correct on first one... excellent spot.
Second one is not a Lake anything but there is a link with the Seamew. Clue the Seamew had another name. |
|
OH if correct. Just passing through.....
|
ORAC.... correct.
Common thread was name Seagull..... again. Seamew was Royal Navy name, US Navy name was Seagull. Open House so anyone got a good challenge ?? Buttrick ?? |
The next challenge:

Hmm..P2V Neptune?
|
Yes. the Lockheed P2V Neptune. Early version. Your turn to post a real good one...
|
TVM.
The crop made this one tiny, so I resized it, but that made it very grainy. Oh well, you'll guess it anyway ;) http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82...ps347c723c.jpg |
Looks like it may be the Trent tutboprop Meteor F1.
|
Looks like, but it isn't ;)
|
Westland Whelkin?
