Yes it is a prop. Aircraft from the same era as the XP-46. Not American...

Noyade 11th Apr 2012 12:08

Just a stab mate, before retiring. Am I looking down the throat of the Miles M-20?

Karlark 11th Apr 2012 12:14

No Sir, not a British aircraft.

Karlark 11th Apr 2012 17:43

...nor is it European, Russian, Canadian or Australian.

SincoTC 11th Apr 2012 19:32

G'day SD.

There is a thread on a WW2 forum called "What is it?" and I saw your image there not long ago. Even now I still find it hard to get my head around this, but according to the poster it's the Fiat CR.42?

MReyn24050 14th Apr 2012 23:25

I would say you were correct Graeme.

sabredog 15th Apr 2012 06:47

Correct,Graeme. Described as an exhaust shroud belonging to a Fiat Cr42.
You have control,Graeme.

Noyade 15th Apr 2012 11:44

Yes mate. I was hoping to throw you off the scent.

Very famous and well known British aircraft.

Noyade 15th Apr 2012 21:48
