Good scratching mate - it is the Brigand. And it's open house.

Seems to have something of the Heinkel 45 about it
|
Morning Kitbag,
I was just thinking about putting up some clues due to lack of responses to help this and my cockpit along :) Afraid it's not a Heinkel 45, it's several years earlier and I'll go as far as to say it's not German! It has a single cantilever wing and its purpose was non military. |
G'day Trevor! :)
I suspect the Hanriot HD-22...? (Thanks for the get-well wishes!) |
G'day Graeme,
You're welcome mate, good to see you back! I suspect the Hanriot HD-22...? You have control :ok: |

G'day mate - you're getting soft in yer old age!

I would have to OH it anyway today.

|
Sorry Krakatoa, it's not from America (north or south)!
|
Boulton Paul P.75 Overstrand ?
|
G'day Trevor.
I'll try for a bit of Sidestrand? Saw this on the net, although the struts don't seem to match... http://i43.tinypic.com/ogfk8y.jpg |
Evening Graeme,
I'll try for a bit of Sidestrand? Saw this on the net, although the struts don't seem to match... I think the strut mismatch is due to the fact that my "bit" is looking towards the fuselage, whereas the shot you found was taken from under the fuselage looking outboard and the cowling/exhaust pipes are identical to the the one in my source (see link below). However, I do believe that the caption is wrong because the Pegasus cowlings, possibly trialled on the III, but fitted to it's later development, the Overstrand (as mentioned above by David) show numerous"blisters" over the engine's rocker gear. This Sidestrand was fitted with Bristol Jupiter XF engines and tested with "The Boulton and Paul Townend Ring" combined with an exhaust collector (see link below) 1930 | 1346 | Flight Archive Noyade has control :ok: |

Good Morning Trevor. Is it the Caproni Ca.335 / Sabca S.47?
|
Hello Karl,
It certainly is, well done :D I thought a Belgian one-off might have lasted a while, but when I realised that it was really a Caproni, I thought you'd surely get it at first sight!! :) Caproni Ca.335 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Karlark has control :ok: |
Thanks Trevor. :ok:
Open house please. |
|
G'day Karl.
First thought was the S-38, but now probably the Consolidated Commodore? |
