skwinty 15th Sep 2011 15:41

This one is not French.:(

Ridge Runner 15th Sep 2011 15:47

what are you hiding above the fuselage? A central fin? I'd say those boots look Russian or eastern/central European?

skwinty 15th Sep 2011 15:52

Nothing hidden, WYSIWYG.

The boots may be Russian or eastern/central European, but not the aircraft.;)

Ridge Runner 15th Sep 2011 16:01

triple fin/rudder?

skwinty 15th Sep 2011 16:05

Twin not triple.

Ridge Runner 15th Sep 2011 16:06

Ridge Runner 15th Sep 2011 16:22

I posted AFTER Ken. Its just Pprune that timed it wrong.

RR

skwinty 15th Sep 2011 16:25

skwinty 15th Sep 2011 16:32

Damn, RR why didn't you type the name in your post.

skytrain10 15th Sep 2011 16:36

Thanks skwinty.....believe it or not it was the open cabin door that gave it away!
Despite the timing of RR's post it did not appear until after I had posted my answer (honestly!).

Please bear with me as have only just got in...will have one prepped in 15 mins give or take.

skytrain10 15th Sep 2011 16:51

irishair2001 15th Sep 2011 18:44

:ok:hello skytrain , is it the Valmet Leko-70 Vinka

skytrain10 15th Sep 2011 19:40

Hi irishair, not the Leko-70.
First clue, European homebuild from the 1970's.

Spit161 15th Sep 2011 22:59

My first thought was a Firefly, but it can't be..

cheers,
Jake.

skytrain10 16th Sep 2011 07:17

Morning....not a Firefly Jake, but you're in the right country:ok:

SincoTC 16th Sep 2011 07:59

Morning Ken,

Just a quick stab before going back to work; is it the Coates Swalesong ?

Spit161 16th Sep 2011 10:13

Noyande - C47?

skytrain10 16th Sep 2011 10:14

Morning Trevor
Yes, it is the Coates Swalesong...well done:ok:.
First flown in 1973, just 2 aircraft built; G-AYDV (below) is still in existance. The other one (G-BAAH) cancelled back in 1991.

http://i551.photobucket.com/albums/i...r/0a52cfdc.jpg

SincoTC has declared Open House.

Noyade 16th Sep 2011 10:15

Noyande - C47?
G'day, No mate.

Noyade 16th Sep 2011 10:35

I was thinking the other day....when we turn perfectly good illustrations into black, should glass/perspex areas such as the cockpit, observation domes, windshields, passenger windows, etc...remain white?

Edit. Thanks Reg! It's all in the wrist! :ok:

Edit 2. Out of sequence....again...

skytrain10 16th Sep 2011 10:39

Hi Graeme....Bloch MB.220?

Noyade 16th Sep 2011 10:41

Hi Graeme....Bloch MB.220?
Yes mate....short and sweet. :ok:

Your control.

Edit. Sydney Harbour Bridge must be very heavy...always drops below the last post!

Noyade 16th Sep 2011 10:49

Trying to go under the bridge...here goes...

Edit. Yes!

Your control Ken! :) See above the bridge!

skytrain10 16th Sep 2011 11:03

Thanks Graeme....here's an aircraft that could easily go under the bridge:

Graeme, my view is that its down to the individual. Traditional 3-views from Observers' books etc show all the features you mention, but arguably these are not true silhouette's, which technically should only show the outline, not the the detail.

Noyade 16th Sep 2011 11:12

Immediate thought was a Gotha Go 145.....but no.

...remain white?
The reason I asked is the Bloch had a lot of windows and I thought should I try and leave them...but too hard.
