Well, no skwinty, but you got the drift :ok:
It is a Yank but there is an Italian license involved, and that's why it looks like ……. Skwinty's was the 1,000th response after the first post!!!! Cheers!!!! :ok: |
Hey Reg!
Italian license involved American Aeronautical Corporation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/897...80e60f3675.jpg |
S-56 Savoia Marchetti seaplane, but the tail looks different.
Find another one like it (like, like similar, nothing to do with American dialect of English language) :)
Afternoon.
Anything to do with American Aeronautics S-62? It has a closed cockpit, at least...:hmm: |
No. And mine has an open cockpit. (Edit: That was to HP)
Built by a maker of railroad cars, a budding pioneer in aviation. Edit: Ach THERE you are Graeme. Was just wondering what kept you….. Over to you :ok: |
Back to Froggie Country, are we Graeme?
Nope.............
Looks like a Mig with the intake blank in place!
Not a Ruskie.
Wrong tail for Mig - could be a Yak, but wrong background. Graeme, is the challenge the same as the one left in the background?
An F 86 Sabre?
North American FJ-1 Fury
Not American mate.
Graeme, is the challenge the same as the one left in the background? |
I'd say not an FJ-1 as its got swept wings. However, the dihedral on the tail counts it out as a swept-wing Fury, I think.
A Gina, perhaps?
A Swift????
A Gina, perhaps? |
Ambrosini Ariete?
That was the "Yak" I was shooting for….. |
if it is we've has before
Ambrosini Ariete? But, you are sooooo close...:) |
I know. Grabbing the straws now :uhoh:.
Did we have Ambrosini (Aerfer) Sagittario II before (no time to check!) |
Ariete was Ram.
Mine is Archer........... (Aerfer) Sagittario II Done! Yours Reg. But just looked again. Listed under Ambrosini. I have it only as Aerfer. Oh well.... Exceptions being pure forgetfulness or absent-mindedness, new and challenging angle, or just to check if others are awake. http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/389...6469441276.jpg |
Thanks Graeme!
Hadn't budgeted a score, but got carried away….. OK then. You asked for it: http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/...19um154808.jpg |
Was that wing wire-braced on top through a central pylon, and the wires are not visible?
No evidence of conventional lower struts. I am intrigued why you have blurred the people! The text behind the reversed picture seems to be in German! |
Ariete was Ram. Mine is Archer........... |
Mate:
It was a cantilever. Well, I needed to get the people away from under the aeroplane, so I blurred the rest, too. Not very skillfully, I am afraid :\ The "extra" L/G strut should probably not be there. Maybe it was something that one of the guys under the aeroplane had in his hand…. The picture has not been reversed. And the text is not German. The file name says in German "Screenshot" :E. |
Sounds like another Photoshop tutorial is in order!
Well, yes………
One of you tutorials said don't touch a low-resolution picture. But I find it refreshing to have pictures like this, (printed source from 1922), to balance out the three-views. Not taking a position against three-views; they are often interesting, too. And, we are not running out of challenges. This one is from a pretty well known maker. |
PM Reg. :ok:
DH 29 Doncaster
DH 29 Doncaster Over to you :D Saw your PM Master. Cool! Next tell me how to do that, please :). |
Going home - catch you very soon.
A Rans, David??
Sadly not Martin.
Abend Reg. :) |
Evening Mate.
Unfortunately need to go for a couple of hours and have not given a serious attempt to yours…. :uhoh: But I see skwinty around to keep you company :) |
