|
Not a biplane David.
|
Not sure it's a biplane David....thinking more of a high wing mono? American Graeme?
|
Not American Ken.
|
Looks very similar to the Broussard, but the cowling is wrong.
|
Cowling might look odd, but it is the Broussard mate. :ok:
Your control David. |
Good grief .
Standby please........ Easy one....... http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/u...g_29/slick.jpg |
Yes, of course, the Broussard. Now I know what I was trying to remember!
|
Graeme, do you want the calculated radius of turn of the Valkyrie?
|
Easy one....... (Rocket job - stabilising rails, so ah, hmm, vertical launch?) |
Vertical launch it is mate. :)
|
Graeme, do you want the calculated radius of turn of the Valkyrie? (Have you also got a range figure for a B-17 with 17,600 lb of bombs?) |
The Rocket, looks a tad F-105.....Republic?
|
Well, answer the man Ken. |
It's not a rocket - at least I think not because it has intakes.
Not Republic. |
Valkyrie...
Assuming M3.0 at 70,000 ft and a true airspeed of around 1800 knots and using 30 degrees of bank: radius of turn about 80 nautical miles. :) Uh....um....not one I recognise. A project? |
radius of turn about 80 nautical miles. Project. British Point-Defence Interceptor (I think you guys were into that early post-war). Piloted. Rocket to reach speed, then jets take over. How'd I go? |
Nein mein freund. ;)
Check PM. |
Nein mein freund. |
Not in Luft 46.
....who, Me Sir?.... |
Where were we?...
American? |
Nein, nicht Amerikan.
Have to go and invigilate an examination. Here's a re-post to avoid back-paging. http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/u...g_29/slick.jpg I say again - ....who, Me Sir?.... |

I think it's the Messerschmitt Me X1-21 Tailsitter ?? First chance of a look in since Monday (internet down at home and up to my eyes in it at work :ugh:), off into a meeting in a couple of minutes and not sure when I can get back, so Open House please if correct! Evening gents.
Is it a Piper product Ken? |
You mean a Piper PA-25 Pawnee ?
|
Well, I think so Brian. But my Observer's Pawnee looks a little different?
See here...(lower silhouette) http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/8558/88741f84.jpg http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/2493/img587a.jpg |
It is indeed a PA-25-235 Pawnee. In this instance taken from the Observers Basic Aircraft Civil, 1967.
