Don't believe it - more like probes.............
May be, they're not mentioned in the text about the aircraft, and I believe the aircraft pictured may be the prototype. To help you along a recent design...2000's.

SincoTC 11th Feb 2012 19:54

Evening Ken,

Back a little later than anticipated!

Is it an Ilyushin Il-103 ??

Noyade 11th Feb 2012 20:10

Evening Trevor.

Oh for heavens sake! So that dorsal fillet on Ken's silhouette is the wing cutting across the camera angle?

SincoTC 11th Feb 2012 20:27

G'day Graeme,

Yes I think it is, but I did spend a while this morning chasing non existant foreplanes/canards :)

However, I haven't found a photo from that angle, plus it's missing an aerial behind the cockpit, so it may not be correct!!

Noyade 11th Feb 2012 20:41

Ken's tail-tip looks a little broader, but apart from that, a match? He did say it was the prototype...

"maybe the prototype"

Noyade 11th Feb 2012 20:59

G'day David. :)

Lightning Mate 11th Feb 2012 21:01

G'day mate. :)

Your aeroplane registration is RA 10300.

That is listed as an Il-103.

Noyade 11th Feb 2012 21:07

Very good. You've found a Russian aircraft registration site, care to share? :)

Have you found Ken's source photo?

Lightning Mate 11th Feb 2012 21:09

Trevor,

For me it's 64 days to go - wot about you mate?

Have you found Ken's source photo?
No mate.

SincoTC 11th Feb 2012 21:15

Evening David,

41 days and counting :( !! Still, who gives a sh:mad:t :)!!

Lightning Mate 11th Feb 2012 21:17

I do - cos we stop paying National Insurance.

The :mad:s will get less....................:ok::ok::ok:

Noyade 11th Feb 2012 21:19

Pension card in the mail?

Think of the discounts!! :ok:

Lightning Mate 11th Feb 2012 21:28

Got 10% discount in a couple stores, but usually only on Wednesdays, which is not very clever when you're working!

Been eligible for a bus pass for several years. I ain't got one coz buses are crap and don't go where I want to go.

Smart Cars, though, do. ;)

Also here you don't pay for medical prescriptions past 60.

Lightning Mate 11th Feb 2012 21:33

I'll drink to absolutely anything!!!

Are you going to take your pension or delay?

I'm going for it straightaway, despite having two good pensions already.

Grab it whilst you can mate ...................:):)

Now boarding the stairlift to the next floor - nite nite to you both.

Noyade 11th Feb 2012 21:38

Did any of you guys upset Ken? He's usually here by now. Us youngsters have to stick together! :p

Now boarding the stairlift to the next floor
Bon voyage! Don't burn out the motor.... and don't forget your urinal. :)

SincoTC 11th Feb 2012 21:46

Makes sense, 'coz you can't take it with you and I've got nobody to leave it to :)

Goodnight LM, sleep well!

Did any of you guys upset Ken? He's usually here by now
Don't think so mate, I expect he'll show up in the next hour (or sooner):)!

skytrain10 11th Feb 2012 21:51

Evening/Morning Guys
Been busy this evening. but back now.
Not an IL-103 and no connection that I can see.
Looks like a few more details are needed. It has been designed as a multirole utility aircraft which first flew last year, somewhat oddly NOT in its country of origin.

skytrain10 11th Feb 2012 22:00

All, apologies guys, perils of not checking properly.

We've had this one back in September, so challenge withdrawn. It was the CSIR-NAL CNM-5. Found it under Mahindra whilst working on another challenge.

Trevor got it last time.

OPEN HOUSE

Noyade 11th Feb 2012 22:02

Evening Ken.

Not an IL-103 and no connection that I can see.
We're shattered mate. :(:)

So, is there a dorsal fillet?
Many built?

SincoTC 11th Feb 2012 22:03

Thanks Ken, I had my doubts!!

In that case, how about the Indian Mahindra-NAL C-NM5 ??

Noyade 11th Feb 2012 22:07

Trevor got it last time.
Then Trevor can have it again. :ok:

Your control Trevor (see the previous page mate).

Noyade 11th Feb 2012 22:13

All, apologies guys, perils of not checking properly.
(Ken, your making us look bad in front of the old people....)

SincoTC 11th Feb 2012 22:21

Thanks Ken, no need to apologise, we've all done it!!

The memory bells began to jangle when I found the photo of the Mahindra, I think Reg posted it and I remember it had a curious "toasting fork" on the wing!!

Your control Trevor (see the previous page mate).
Thanks Graeme, I had missed that!

Another on the way, I guarantee it wont last 'til the new day!!

skytrain10 11th Feb 2012 22:22

Ken, your making us look bad in front of the old people
I know. It's funny when I was looking at it I thought it was familiar. I did my usual check of the the lists, by doing a search for NAL, nothing, then NM-5, nothing, then NM.5, nothing. I forgot to do NM5:{

Incidentally thought you would have got it bearing in mind where it did its first flight....Australia. It's registered owner is Gippsland! Look up VH-XNM:ok:

Trevor....I agree, control is yours.

SincoTC 11th Feb 2012 22:28

Thanks Ken,

Here's another lamb to the slaughter!

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/.../TC_wtf207.jpg

Noyade 11th Feb 2012 22:35

Looks Polish?

skytrain10 11th Feb 2012 22:39

I agree Graeme...the wing is very similar to the RWD-8. Unfortunately the rest of the aircraft isn't!

Edit, take that back. I think.it is the RWD-8. Seems its design changes depending on where you look.

If correct will have to be Open House as hitting the hay now.

SincoTC 11th Feb 2012 22:53

I said it wouldn't last :ugh:!

Well done Ken, you beat the Wizard to it :D

It is the Polish RWD.8 it does seem to have quite a lot of variations, this one has beefed-up U/C struts!

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/...afe/rwd8-3.jpg

skytrain10 has declared an Open house :ok:

Karlark 11th Feb 2012 23:26

'morning all. Here's one for the open house....

http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i..._2008/37-5.jpg

I suspect it won't last long. :)

SincoTC 11th Feb 2012 23:33

Afternoon Karl,

RWD.6 :)

Karlark 11th Feb 2012 23:38

Of course it is Trevor. :ok:
Your control.

SincoTC 11th Feb 2012 23:51

Thanks Karl,

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/.../TC_wtf208.jpg

Lightning Mate 12th Feb 2012 09:34

Morning Trevor.

The fin and tailskid are pure Halberstadt, but the cockpit is a long way aft.

I'll shoot for the CL IV.

http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/u...en_272x240.jpg

SincoTC 12th Feb 2012 10:12

I'll shoot for the CL IV
Good shooting LM, just as we would expect from a true fighter pilot!! :D

It is the Halberstadt CL IV

Lightning Mate has control :ok:

Lightning Mate 12th Feb 2012 10:39

Thanks Trevor - a good start to the day. :)

A nice old sepia photograph....

http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/u..._29/sunjob.jpg

SincoTC 12th Feb 2012 11:47

Is the background original, 'coz it shows British made cars circa 1960 ?

A single seater and British ?

Lightning Mate 12th Feb 2012 11:49

The background is original apart from the fact that I have brushed out the words on the building.

Single seat but not British, and I'll be very surprised if the cars are.........

Wot you fink the cars are?

evansb 12th Feb 2012 12:09

The Swedish built BA-4 ?
