This looks like the Besson MB-411 "Petrel" of 1935 a small aircraft aboard french giant submarine "Surcouf" (this name brings back to me memories of University time in Grenoble!)

The Marcel Besson MB-411 derived from the MB-410 ordered on 24 August
1932 and destroyed in 1933 whilst undergoing official acceptance trials.
A second prototype was ordered, but, due to the disbandment of the Marcel
Besson company, this reconnaissance aircraft was built by ANF-Les Mureaux
and designated MB-411.
It was, indeed, specifically designed for housing in a cylindrical hangar in
the back of Surcouf 's -- submersible gunship -- conning tower.

The aircraft could be disassembled rapidly for stowage and re-assembled
within 4 minutes of removal from its hangar. It could be lowered to the
water and retrieved by means of a crane.

The MB-411 No 1 was originally a single seater and underwent official
acceptance trials in August 1935; then was delivered to the Surcouf for
proving trials.
Several modifications were demanded, including conversion to two
seats configuration; so the aircraft was returned to ANF -L.M. early in 1936.
At the end of May 1936 it was returned to the Surcouf and in June a second
MB-411 was ordered...

(synoptically from "Air Progress", August 1967, page 812, under "Facts By Request" -- many thanks again to Bill B. , who provided me with this material).

Carson1934 - I can see perfectly your first image in your post #1969.
The one in your post #1970 does not show.
I advise you this:
1. go back to your post #1969, 2. click on the button EDIT on the lower right and 3. COPY/Copia (= select the entire string by passing over it with the mouse cursor whilst keeping the left mouse button pushed down, then right click on it and then select COPY/Copia on the scroll window that will appear) the HTML string that allowed you to successfully post the first image. 4. then just hit the back button (Indietro), so your message will remain un-modified.
5. open your e-mail program, 6. open a new e-mail, 7. right click again on the empty text space and 8. select PASTE (Incolla).
Then, as the final step, order SAVE (Salva) for future use; eventually, you can give that e-mail -- that will never be sent but will remain in your archive -- an appropriate title, so you can easily find it back anytime you want.

In the future you will not have to type anymore the perfect string, because you will just keep copying it from that e-mail you saved and pasting it with the right URL in the right position (never do spaces) in your PPRuNe message box.
(P.S. : I have windows XP in Dutch here at home, so there may be some little terminology glitches)

Thanks for the explanations but right at the beginning I am already experiencing difficulties:

here I am again bothering you.
The edit button came out of the blue and I followed your instructions to the letter.
However I think that either you missed the point or I didn't express myself correctly.
My problem is the following:
- when I transmit an image thru Photobucket to the forum, the recipients do normally see the image I transmit (like for instance is the case with post #1969)
but I cannot see iton my post.
It is as simple as that although I follow step by step procedures outlined by different members of this forum when I joined it back in April.
I would appreciate if you have a way of helping me out in this connection but obviously I do not want to use your valuable time neither do I want to use precious forum space.
If I cannot see the images I transmit then....so be it (the important thing is that recipients do!)

carson1934. What Browser are you using? Your photograph you posted in Post #1969 show up on my PC both on Mozilla Firefox Browser and Windows Internet Explorer. So I am at a loss why you cannot see your own photograph on your PC.

As a browser I use Mozilla Firefox and/or Internet explorer. I cannot see my own pictures on my edited posts for the simple reason that there is NO URL showing on my post.
The URL is correctly pasted (from Photobucket) in the small box above the message box then it is pasted over the message box itself (and it shows), I add the text, click the "submit reply" button and what happens? The text shows up beautifully in the thread, no trace of the urlon my post(therefore I do not know whether the image has gone thru) and the recipients are telling me that notwithstanding my not seeing the image they do!

Taking drawbarz's point regarding the "preview post" button if when clicking on this button you do not see the photograph then it will not be there when you submit the post.
What you must be carefull of when posting the url in the image box is that there is not two "http://". When you first click on the post image icon a small window comes up and one is requested "Please enter the URL of your image:" and in the box you will note "http://" highlighted in blue. When one posts the URL it also includes an http://. Ensure you delete the second http:// heading your URL leaving the first http:// in place. I find it much easier to ignore the image icon and just copy and paste the photograph URL direct into the message box. Then check the "post preview" and ensure the photograph has been posted.

this fighter (appears in the version fighter-bomber in the side view)
was designed by Ing. Rossi... close to a lake.

Was the engine an H-24 configuration?
