scotbill 6th Jun 2011 10:38

Sorry - not a dragon

sycamore 6th Jun 2011 12:04

How about a Dragonfly ?

scotbill 6th Jun 2011 12:42

Not a Dragonfly either. Was still flying a few years back - tho haven't been near the airfield since.

sycamore 6th Jun 2011 19:06

Must be a Rapide then..

scotbill 6th Jun 2011 19:30

Yes - The DH89 which did yeoman work for BEA till the mid 50s - and even after that for the Scillies. This was G-AKIF at Duxford. Anyone know if it is still flying?

An aeroplane where the passengers had to be weighed as well as the bags and they tried not to roster a big R/O with a big pilot!

Spot on Sycamore! :ok: RAF BE2e.

Open House.

Oh, why not. One more? Not really a cockpit shot, but see what you think...I left the roundel on...:)

evansb 8th Jun 2011 17:51

You're right. Not really a cockpit shot. Belongs on "Name That Plane", or even " Silhouette Challenge".

Noyade 8th Jun 2011 21:05

Not a problem Brian. I'll make it a silhouette.

OPEN HOUSE

Avionker 8th Jun 2011 21:56

If it's open house then....

sycamore 9th Jun 2011 13:21

Is this a `re-vamped` Douglas aircraft..?

Avionker 9th Jun 2011 14:50

If that was aimed at me sycamore then the answer is no, it is not.

sycamore 9th Jun 2011 16:15

Difficult to judge ,but is it a piston engined aircraft ,perhaps built by the company referred to in the posts at the top of the page ?

scotbill 9th Jun 2011 17:01

G-AKIF

Thanks for that Kieron - although it doesn't clarify whether it is still flying?

SB

Avionker 9th Jun 2011 19:52

No sycamore, not piston and not referred to on that page.
