The Dublin 749 is in the Science Museum at Wroughton in TWA colours.

She was registered G-CONI at one time for Aces High, plan was to use her in the second series of Airline "Ruskin Air Services" she was dismantled in Dublin and moved by Road and ship via Fleetwood. However the long period in open storage at Dublin rendered her beyond even ACES-HIGH's restorative powers. She was then donated to The Science Museum and restored to static exhibition. The only time I got to see a 'Connie' up close was when I was stationed at RAF Negombo (Katunayake) in 1957 when they were regular visitors on TWA's Far East routes, see photo attached, plus note the variety of RAF aircraft on view - Comet, Valiants, Hastings, Valetta, Shackletons!

In August 2015, I visited the Planes of Fame Museum at Valle, AZ, on my way to the Grand Canyon. A great museum with a lot of interesting aircraft, many of which I had never seen before. While wandering on the ramp, I stopped to watch an engine being installed on a Constellation, by two, clearly very skilled men. They had it bolted on in 20 minutes. No safety vests or boots or hard hats in sight!

He named it Bataan.
