I do apologise. Please delete Northrop and insert North American Aviation.it is of course the North American Aviation X-15.

BEagle 13th May 2006 21:35

Sure is - all yours!

MReyn24050 13th May 2006 21:50

Thank you BEagle.
I am sure this will be solved in no time.

F4 Phantom? Can't believe one hasn't appeared already!

Off to work now, won't be able to check for a while, so in the unlikely event .... etc., as ever, would someone like to take the helm on my behalf?

Cheers,

BSD

MReyn24050 14th May 2006 11:23

BSD

No, not a F4 Phantom

Led Zep 14th May 2006 13:52

The only thing that comes close in my eyes is an F-5A of some sort, but it looks far too new and uncluttered.

BEagle 14th May 2006 14:20

All I can see is a little red cross - the image won't open.

MReyn24050 14th May 2006 15:12

Led Zep

Not the F5A.

Sorry BEagle works on both my PC and Laptop, photograph is on Photobucket and have no problems from that source normally.

Mel, BEagle is not the only one who can only see a Red Cross. All other pictures on Photobucket seem ok!, and I haven't changed my settings.

Can you try and relink?

That's better!

Alpha Jet.

Portuguese Alpha Jet, in fact.

MReyn24050 14th May 2006 16:32

BEagle

:ok:

It is in deed a Dassault-Dornier Alpha Jet.

You regain control

BEagle 14th May 2006 16:38

OK - another relatively straightforward one:

MReyn24050 15th May 2006 14:22

NASA Lockheed T-33A Shooting Star at Dryden possibly early 1970?

Led Zep 15th May 2006 15:15

Looks too tidy/advanced for a T-33 to me? Plus it is missing some lever on the right hand side of the cockpit?
Mind you, I have no idea what it could be!! :}

I tend to agree with you it really is clutching a straw. Having seen some of Dryden's other aircraft cockpits(Ref X15's at #22 above) I thought they may have cleaned it up. I just cannot place it with any other cockpits of its period.

I can certainly see where you are coming from. The coaming seems to match but not much else - it has me stumped otherwise.

BEagle 15th May 2006 16:53

Not American and not a turbojet!

mcdhu 15th May 2006 17:59

Shorts Tucano?
