Unhappy Hunter crash in USA

Sad to report that a Hunter has gone down in the USA with the pilot being killed. This was today at Scranton-Wilkes Barre airport in Pennsylvania, and the aircraft is described as a two seater hence it is almost certainly N614XL, ex XL614. Owner Andrew McNeil had apparently just sold it to a new owner in Canada and this may have been a delivery flight.

There is a Canadian company that has four of them I believe that are used in a contract with DND for low level air defense training. The ones they currently have I think most recently came from Sweden.

Pilot has been named: Thomas 'Sharkbait' Delashaw. RIP.

Thomas had 6,000+ hrs. in fighters: F-84F; F-100A/D/F; F-104C/D/G/TF/CF; F-4C/D/E. He was one of only two active F-104 pilots to graduate from the USAF Fighter Weapons School. He completed two tours of duty in SEA, flying F-104s and F-4s. Tom flew as an air combat instructor for the Texas Air Aces, Houston, TX. He also flew civilian-owned F-104s as demo/instructor (he was one of the 'Starfighters' team), F-100s, Hawker Hunters, and F-4s.
