F4U-4 Corsair

Bit of a long shot this one, but PPRuners never fail to amaze with what info is around. Anyhow here we go:

I need info about a particular F4U-4 Corsair and at present I know the following:

Bu. No. (97115) VF713 based on USS Antienam and ditched off Wonsan Korea 8 Nov 51. I would like to know details regarding sqn numbers and colour scheme. Mainly because the pilot who I am working with has fotgotten them and we need them for a project that we are doing. The number on the nose is likely to be less then 250, and the tail will be adorned with a `H`.

If anyone has any good photos of said sqns machines, I would be more than happy to accept jpgs.

Thanx in advance.

Spot,

Suggest you also post query here as these guys are hot stuff when it comes to knowing the whats, whys and wherefores of Warbirds. One of the regulars, Rob Mears, is a walking, posting, Corsair encyclopedia!

Good luck with you research,
