These pics were taken at St. Cyr, 18/7/63

During WW2, production of the Feisler Fi156 Storch was transferred to the (German-occupied) Morane-Saulnier factory. They continued production after the war, the French models being MS.500 (Argus As10c), MS.501 (Renault 6Q) both inline and MS.502 (Salmson 9AB radial). Most MS.502s were re-engined with the Jacobs R915A making them 'officially' MS.505s. I'm not up on engines sufficiently to tell whether these are 502s or 505s.

From the records, F-BDQT (the top picture) was always a 502, whereas F-BEJQ was built as a 502 and converted to a 505 later on. To my uneducated eye the donks look the same in both pictures, so I guess they were both 502's at that time.

'QT survives to this day; she was at the rather impressive Musee Aeronautique de Nancy, which had to close after the roof was damaged in the storms of 2000.
