RAF Christmas Celebrations in Africa 1951

I wonder whether the RAF today celebrates Christmas as we did in my day 72-years ago way back in 1951 at RAF Thornhill (5 FTS), S. Rhodesia

Photos show
  1. Airmen waiting in the airmen’s mess for the officers to serve Christmas lunch
  2. Father Christmas arriving by Anson from the North pole with presents for the kids
  3. Fancy-dress football match where Offices play Sergeants
A good time was had by all!

And in the afternoon Officers played football against the Sergeants in fancy-dress
