Considering the OP hasn't bothered to tell us where this is happening it definitely needs a link.

That might have required a bit of effort.

As far as I know there's only one Comet 4B left and that's in the Science Museum collection, stored at Wroughton.

OP is referring to the Comet at the National Museum of flight at East Lothian as pictured in the Guardian today.

That one's a 4C, not a 4B.
As Jhieminga says, the only 4B still around (after the scrapping of the tug tow G-APMB at Gatwick some years ago) is the Science Museum example G-APYD.

Agreed: a search of The Grauniad website rendered not a sausage.

It's old news. There's a blog, with photos, posted on 15 Feb 2013, on the National Museums Scotland website here:
https://blog.nms.ac.uk/2013/02/15/th...ky-solution-2/
If the link doesn't work you can use the "read our blog" link on the museum's home page to search.

PS Good effort Dave Reid, that one almost slipped by me.

Now that we have found out the identity and story behind the actual aircraft in question I note that the OP hasn't bothered to add any further information to the topic he created. Even if it was just an apology for not adding a link to the subject.
