Sad to learn that there's only one airworthy Anson left. Time was ,as a boy, you could gaze up into East Anglian skies and always see an Anson.

plus the only airworthy Anson.
I think the owner of the Anson at Sleap (G-VROE/WD413) which regularly drones/proceeds overhead Shackleton Towers in a stately fashion, would beg to disagree.

G-AHKX at Shuttleworth as well... both are post war examples though.

OK.... Can we call the Australian one the "the oldest" airworthy Anson... ??!!!

Well, the fuselage and engines are probably the oldest still flying. It has postwar-built wings and tailplane (all-metal), not so certain about the undercarriage, may be original - somebody will know.
